Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous airport or customer service experience preferred
  • must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • treat all information as confidential
  • possess tact to deal with multiple levels of client representatives, employees, and public
  • able to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
  • ability to work from verbal and written instructions
  • communicate clearly and concisely in English verbally and written
  • must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand, and bend throughout shift
  • able to lift, carry, or hold up to 75 lbs
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • must complete criminal background check
  • meet requirements to obtain security sensitive identification badge
  • US citizen or have necessary authorization from immigration and naturalization services

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous airport or customer service experience preferred
  • ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English
  • clear verbal and written communication skills in English
  • tact and ability to handle various client and public situations professionally
  • physical ability to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand, and bend during shifts
  • able to lift, carry, or hold up to 75 lbs

Job Duties

  • Meet inbound flights to provide services with wheelchairs and aisle chairs
  • meet outbound flights to assist passengers needing special assistance
  • provide general information and directions to passengers
  • check mobility equipment thoroughly before use
  • lock wheels when assisting passengers in or out of courtesy chairs
  • always use both hands when pushing courtesy chairs
  • back chairs down inclines carefully
  • request assistance when transferring passengers who cannot transfer themselves
  • avoid taking courtesy chairs up or down stairways or escalators
  • complete timely documentation of services provided
  • handle passengers' property carefully, including mobility aids and luggage
  • stay familiar with government, client, airport, and company regulations
  • keep supervisor informed of area needs and maintenance issues
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas
  • project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries
  • attend all required meetings and in-service trainings
  • use appropriate communication channels and maintain records
  • wear proper uniform or business attire with visible identification badges
  • adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • use company equipment and supplies in a cost-effective manner
  • comply with all safety requirements including proper use of PPE and reporting unsafe conditions
  • perform other assigned duties as requested
