Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • Treat all information as confidential
  • Possess tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public
  • Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate in English clearly and concisely verbally and in written form
  • Must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout the shift
  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 75 lbs
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • Must complete a criminal background check
  • Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
  • Must be a US citizen or possess necessary authorization from immigration and naturalization service

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, understand and follow instructions in English
  • Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English both verbally and in writing
  • Familiarity with government, client, airport and company regulations

Job Duties

  • Meet inbound and outbound flights to provide services with wheelchairs, aisle chairs and to passengers needing special assistance
  • Actively participate in the Safety Management System
  • Provide special assistance to passengers as requested
  • Provide general information and directions to passengers
  • Check equipment thoroughly before use
  • Lock wheels when assisting passengers in or out of courtesy chair
  • Always use both hands when pushing courtesy chairs
  • Always back chairs down inclines
  • Request assistance when transferring passengers who cannot transfer themselves
  • Never take a courtesy chair up or down stairways or escalators
  • Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner
  • Handle other people's property, mobility aids and luggage carefully
  • Familiarize with Government, client, airport and company regulations
  • Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems
  • Maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs
  • Project positive image and respond courteously to inquiries
  • Attend required meetings and in-services
  • Utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records
  • Wear proper uniform or business attire and display identification visibly
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Use company and client resources responsibly and cost-effectively
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Comply with all safety requirements including reporting unsafe conditions and wearing proper PPE
