Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English verbally and in written form
  • Must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout the shift
  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 75 lbs
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • Must complete a criminal background check
  • Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
  • Must be a citizen of the US or possess necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service
  • Treat all information as confidential
  • Possess tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English verbally and in writing
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess tact to deal with various situations and individuals
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and equipment handling
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Commitment to confidentiality
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Actively participate in Safety Management System
  • Provide special assistance to passengers as requested
  • Provide general information and directions to passengers
  • Meet inbound arrivals to provide special services such as courtesy chairs and walk assistance through the terminal
  • Check equipment thoroughly before use including wheels, locks, seats, back and footrests
  • Lock wheels when assisting passengers in or out of courtesy chairs
  • Use both hands when pushing courtesy chairs
  • Back chairs down inclines
  • Request assistance from another employee when transferring passenger from one chair to another if passenger cannot transfer themselves
  • Never take a courtesy chair up or down a stairway or escalator
  • Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner
  • Handle passengers' property, including mobility aids and luggage, with care
  • Be familiar with Government, Client, Airport, and Company regulations
  • Keep supervisor informed of needs and issues, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area, and report maintenance needs
  • Project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries from airlines, staff, and the public
  • Attend meetings and in-service training as required
  • Use appropriate communication channels and maintain required records, reports, and files
  • Wear proper uniform or business attire with visible identification badges
  • Adhere to company policies and assist in achieving company objectives
  • Use company and client equipment and resources conscientiously and cost-effectively
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Comply with all safety requirements including proper equipment use, reporting unsafe conditions, wearing PPE, and attending safety training
