Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
  • at least 18 years of age
  • must have a reliable telephone and transportation
  • treat all information as confidential
  • possess tact and professionalism in all interactions
  • ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • ability to communicate clearly verbally and in written form
  • ability to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout shift
  • able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 75 lbs
  • pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • complete a criminal background check
  • obtain security sensitive identification badge
  • be a US citizen or possess required immigration authorization

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • possess tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public
  • ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • ability to work from verbal and written instructions
  • ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English verbally and in written form
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug test
  • must complete a criminal background check
  • must meet necessary requirements to obtain security sensitive identification badge
  • must be a US citizen or possess necessary authorization from immigration and naturalization service

Job Duties

  • Actively participate in the Safety Management System
  • provide special assistance to passengers as requested
  • provide general information and directions to passengers
  • meet inbound arrivals as requested to provide special services such as courtesy chairs and walk assistance through the terminal
  • check equipment thoroughly before use including wheels, locks, seats, back and footrests
  • lock wheels when assisting passengers in or out of courtesy chairs
  • always use both hands when pushing courtesy chairs
  • always back chairs down inclines
  • request assistance from another employee when transferring passenger from one chair to another if passenger cannot transfer themselves
  • never take a courtesy chair up or down a stairway or escalator
  • complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner
  • be neat and careful when handling other people’s property especially mobility aids and luggage
  • be familiar with all Government, Client, Airport, and Company regulations
  • keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas and maintain cleanliness of immediate work area
  • project a positive image and respond to inquiries from airlines, staff and public in a courteous manner
  • attend meetings and in-services as required
  • utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records, reports and files as required
  • be attired in proper uniform or business attire as directed and keep identification badges visible
  • adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives
  • utilize company and client equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious and cost effective manner
  • perform other duties as requested
  • comply with all safety requirements including safe equipment use, reporting unsafe conditions and workplace injuries, wearing proper PPE and attending required safety training
