Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous airport and customer service experience preferred
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • reliable telephone and transportation
  • treat all information as confidential
  • possess tact when dealing with clients, employees, and public
  • ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • ability to work from verbal and written instructions
  • effective communication in English both verbally and written
  • physical ability to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand, and bend throughout the shift
  • ability to lift, carry, or hold up to 75 lbs
  • pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • complete a criminal background check
  • meet requirements to obtain security sensitive identification badge
  • US citizenship or valid authorization from the immigration and naturalization service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written
  • ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • tactful and able to deal with diverse situations and people
  • familiarity with customer service best practices
  • physical capability to lift and handle up to 75 lbs
  • reliable transportation and telephone

  • knowledge of safety and security procedures
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • provide special assistance to passengers as requested
  • provide general information and directions to passengers
  • meet inbound arrivals to provide special services such as courtesy chairs and walk assistance
  • check equipment thoroughly before use including wheels, locks, seats, back and footrests
  • lock wheels when assisting passengers in or out of courtesy chairs
  • always use both hands when pushing courtesy chairs
  • always back chairs down inclines
  • request assistance from another employee when transferring passengers who cannot transfer themselves
  • never take courtesy chairs up or down stairways or escalators
  • complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner
  • be neat and careful when handling passengers' property including mobility aids and luggage
  • be familiar with all Government, Client, Airport, and Company regulations
  • keep supervisor informed of needs and problems, maintain cleanliness of the work area and report maintenance needs
  • project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries from airlines, staff, and public
  • attend meetings and training sessions as required
  • utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records, reports, and files
  • adhere to proper uniform or business attire guidelines and ensure identification badges are always visible
  • comply with company policies and contribute to company objectives
  • use company and client equipment, supplies, and resources conscientiously and cost-effectively
  • perform other duties as requested
  • comply with all safety requirements including only using trained equipment, reporting unsafe conditions and injuries, wearing proper PPE, and attending safety training
