Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a reliable telephone and transportation
  • Ability to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout the shift
  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 75 lbs
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • Must complete a criminal background check
  • Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
  • Must be a US citizen or possess necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service
  • Must treat all information as confidential
  • Must have tact to deal with diverse individuals
  • Must be able to read and understand instructions in English
  • Must communicate clearly verbally and in writing in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of government, client, airport, and company regulations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise tact with diverse individuals

  • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Provide special assistance to passengers as requested
  • Provide general information and directions to passengers
  • Meet inbound arrivals as requested to provide special services including courtesy chairs and walk assistance through the terminal
  • Check equipment thoroughly before use to ensure wheels, locks, seats, back and footrests are secure
  • Lock wheels when assisting passengers in and out of courtesy chairs
  • Always use both hands when pushing courtesy chairs
  • Always back chairs down inclines
  • Request assistance from another employee when transferring a passenger between chairs if necessary
  • Never take a courtesy chair up or down stairways or escalators
  • Complete appropriate documentation promptly
  • Handle passenger property including mobility aids and luggage with care
  • Be familiar with all Government, Client, Airport, and Company regulations
  • Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems, maintain cleanliness of work area and report maintenance needs
  • Project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries from airlines, staff, and the public
  • Attend meetings and in-service training as required
  • Utilize communication channels effectively and maintain required records and files
  • Maintain proper uniform and identification badge visibility at all times
  • Adhere to company policies and contribute to achieving company objectives
  • Use company equipment and resources conscientiously and cost-effectively
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
