Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum age of 18 years
- must have reliable telephone and transportation
- pass pre-employment and random drug test
- complete a criminal background check
- meet requirements for obtaining security sensitive identification badge
- US citizenship or valid immigration authorization
- ability to lift, carry, or hold up to 75 lbs
- ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English
- physical capability to perform tasks including stooping, squatting, pushing, standing, and bending
- maintain confidentiality
- tactful communication with diverse individuals
- wear proper uniform or business attire and keep identification badges visible at all times
Job Qualifications

- previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
- must be 18 years of age or older
- reliable telephone and transportation
- ability to treat all information as confidential
- tact to deal with various situations and people including client representatives, employees, and the public
- ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- clear and concise communication skills in spoken and written English
- physical ability to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand, and bend throughout the shift
- ability to lift, carry, or hold up to 75 lbs
- must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- must complete a criminal background check
- must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- must be a US citizen or possess necessary authorization from the immigration and naturalization service
Job Duties
- Provide special assistance to passengers as requested
- provide general information and directions to passengers
- meet inbound arrivals as requested to provide special services such as courtesy chairs and walk assistance through the terminal
- check equipment thoroughly before use ensuring wheels, locks, seats, back and footrests are in proper working order
- lock wheels when assisting passengers in or out of courtesy chairs
- always use both hands when pushing courtesy chairs
- back chairs down inclines carefully
- request assistance from another employee when transferring passengers who cannot transfer by themselves
- never take a courtesy chair up or down a stairway or escalator
- complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner
- handle other people’s property carefully, especially mobility aids and luggage
- be familiar with all government, client, airport, and company regulations
- keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas and report maintenance needs
- maintain cleanliness of immediate work area
- project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries from airlines, staff, and the public
- attend meetings and in-service training as required
- utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records, reports, and files as necessary
- wear proper uniform or business attire and keep identification badges visible at all times
- adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achieving company objectives
- utilize company and client equipment, supplies, and resources conscientiously and cost-effectively
- perform other duties as requested
