Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years progressive experience in hotel or related field
  • 2-year college degree with 3 or more years related experience or 4-year college degree with 1 to 2 years related experience or Culinary Degree with 1 to 2 years progressive experience
  • Holds and maintains certification including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid
  • Proficient in Windows OS, spreadsheets, word processing
  • Extensive experience in restaurant, bar, banquet, catering, in-room dining, kitchen management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work well in high-pressure situations
  • Effective problem handling skills
  • Ability to assimilate complex information
  • Skilled in financial data analysis and forecasting
  • Familiar with hotel organizational functions
  • Knowledge of local competition and industry trends
  • Good judgment and professional demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field with a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience or 4-year college degree with 1 to 2 years related experience or Culinary Degree with 1 to 2 years progressive experience
  • Holds and maintains applicable certification requirements including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • Extensive experience in restaurant bar, banquet, catering, in-room dining, and kitchen management
  • Effective communication skills including speaking, reading, and writing
  • Ability to evaluate and select actions quickly and accurately
  • Skilled in handling stressful high-pressure situations maintaining composure and objectivity
  • Effective problem-solving abilities including anticipating, preventing, and resolving workplace problems
  • Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and adapt as needed
  • Competent in listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving employee and guest concerns
  • Ability to work with financial information, perform data analysis, and conduct forecasting and budgeting
  • Familiar with general hotel organization and department functions
  • Knowledgeable of local competition and industry trends
  • Strong communication, computer, and technological skills

Job Duties

  • Organize, direct, supervise, and assist in the preparation and service of all food and beverage for all outlets based on standardized recipes
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in kitchens, service stations, FOH, BOH work, and storage areas
  • Plan meals and service while guiding the Chef with assignments including pricing and banquets
  • Provide oversight of kitchen staff, outlets, banquet food display merchandising, and operations across kitchen, service, beverage, and banquet departments
  • Handle cash, secure and balance bank deposits, and maintain financial control
  • Interact and occasionally have unsupervised contact with guests and colleagues
  • Maintain high levels of trust and responsibility while managing access to sensitive hotel areas including hotel safe and master keys
