Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience working as a cook or assistant cook
  • knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • effective communication skills
  • commitment to adhere to health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • supervise and assist in the preparation of all food items for the restaurant, cafe, room service, employee cafeteria and banquets
  • maintain the highest standards of quality to produce appealing and appetizing food products
  • oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and food safety
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • coordinate with kitchen staff to manage food inventory and minimize waste
  • support training and development of junior kitchen staff
  • assist in menu planning and preparation as needed
