Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous dishwashing or related experience preferred
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift heavy items
  • Must be able to immerse hands in water with chemicals
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Food safety certification completion and compliance
  • Ability to work in high-temperature and damp environments
  • Willingness to support team members and perform assigned duties diligently

Job Qualifications

  • Can physically stand/walk 100 percent of shift
  • Can reach, bend, stoop
  • Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
  • Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
  • Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
  • Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
  • Support fellow employees as needed
  • Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes

Job Duties

  • Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
  • Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
  • Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
  • Maintain kitchen area cleanliness
  • sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
  • Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
  • Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
