Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred
  • physical ability to stand and walk for entire shift
  • ability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced, hot and damp environment
  • strong attention to detail regarding cleanliness and sanitation
  • ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols precisely
  • ability to communicate in English

Job Qualifications

  • Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
  • can reach, bend, stoop
  • can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
  • ability to speak, read and write English
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
  • work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
  • work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
  • work safely with sharp knives and utensils
  • support fellow employees as needed
  • complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes

Job Duties

  • Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
  • washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
  • cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
  • maintain kitchen area cleanliness
  • sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
  • perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
  • prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
