Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in dishwashing or janitorial work preferred
- Ability to follow detailed sanitation and safety guidelines
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Physical ability to perform duties including standing for long periods and lifting heavy items
- Commitment to teamwork and maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain after hiring
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand and walk 100 percent of shift
- Can reach, bend, stoop
- Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift and lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- Support fellow employees as needed
- Complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
- Maintain kitchen area cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, removing debris from floor
- Perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, beautification duties
- Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
