Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • valid state driver's license and vehicle insurance if driving for company business
  • ability to perform physical activities including climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • willing to attend required training sessions and obtain Serve-Safe certification
  • ability to work in a moderate noise environment
  • regular attendance is essential

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of company's operating systems and policies
  • understanding of P&L analysis and corrective measures
  • experience with supervisory practices and training
  • familiarity with planning and budgeting
  • effective interviewing skills
  • understanding of federal, state and local employment laws
  • ability to read and interpret business periodicals, government regulations, and technical procedures
  • strong written and oral communication skills
  • ability to calculate figures, apply algebra and geometry concepts
  • ability to define problems and analyze data
  • ability to conduct presentations and respond to questions
  • Serve-Safe certification
  • completion of GM core class and Crew Interviewing Workshop within 90 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Manages sales goals versus budget and prior year
  • executes national and local marketing programs and new product roll-outs
  • develops and implements plans to resolve unfavorable trends and enhance sales
  • communicates sales performance and anticipated variances to District Manager and store management team
  • responds to intrusive activities aimed at diverting store business
  • builds sales by promoting customer satisfaction
  • manages profit goals versus budget and prior year
  • manages food, labor, and paper costs and other controllable expenses
  • monitors crew prep, production, and procedures execution
  • tracks waste levels using established procedures
  • communicates profitability performance and anticipated variances
  • processes crew applications and sets up interviews
  • maintains recruitment, development, recognition and retention systems
  • manages subordinate employees to maximize retention
  • resolves performance issues including counseling and disciplining
  • ensures proper staffing levels
  • conducts performance feedback and appraisals
  • serves as a role model and trains store managers
  • ensures compliance with employment laws
  • maintains respectful work environment
  • achieves and maintains Sparkle certification
  • trains and enforces food safety procedures
  • monitors product quality
  • interacts with customers and resolves complaints
  • tracks service times and takes corrective actions
  • provides training and development per company standards
  • conducts new hire orientations
  • communicates operations changes
  • assists with Assistant Manager training
  • audits systems and reviews work habits
  • evaluates crew for leadership potential
  • trains crew to respond to customer needs
  • ensures safety and cleanliness training
  • assigns tasks to achieve store goals
  • ensures store complies with operating policies
  • works with District Manager to develop store plans
  • evaluates store performance and implements improvements
  • holds regular management meetings
  • ensures adherence to uniform program
  • enforces policies for cash, property, product and equipment control
  • follows flow charts to meet prep and production goals
  • identifies and resolves security issues
  • manages cash, food, labor and wage guidelines
  • manages inventory counts and targets
  • trains crew in cash and product controls
  • complies with safety and health standards
  • maintains safe working conditions
  • oversees maintenance and preventive maintenance
  • manages shift to Q.S.C level of 85% or better
  • completes administrative reports
  • writes crew schedules
  • analyzes P&L and reviews with management
  • manages employee files and payroll records
  • completes schedules, invoices, and payroll
  • manages employment applications and documents
  • conducts exit interviews
  • reports accidents promptly
  • adheres to Safety Program and Marshal procedures
  • performs other job-related duties as assigned
