Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle assigned
- Acceptable driving record that meets Benedictine requirements
- Meet federal regulations §483.15(f)(2) if leading the activities program
- Qualified as therapeutic recreation specialist or licensed activities professional as required
- Two years of experience in social or recreational programs within last five years including one year full-time in patient activities
- Occupational therapist or assistant certification if applicable
- Completed state-approved training course when required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the assigned vehicle
- Acceptable driving record per Benedictine Living requirements
- Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or licensed/registered activities professional as applicable
- Two years of experience in social or recreational programs including at least one year full-time in patient activities within healthcare settings
- Occupational therapy or assistant qualifications preferred
- Training course approved by the State when applicable
- BLS certification preferred
- First Aid certification preferred
- Experience in long-term care preferred
Job Duties
- Meet the social and therapeutic needs of residents through activities
- Conduct wellness interventions and leisure programming
- Interact continuously with community groups to foster inclusion
- Complete the wellness assigned portion of the assessment process
- Provide relevant daily events and programming tailored to residents' needs
- Ensure compliance with federal and state activity program regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare and support staff to enhance resident well-being
