Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in a food service or culinary role preferred
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English
- Food Handlers Card valid as per state requirements
- Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long durations
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Must pass criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen years old
- Possess a current Food Handlers Card as required by the Department of Health
- Demonstrate skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision
- Have proficient written and oral communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods
- Ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in extreme temperatures including near cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed
- Criminal background clearance
Job Duties
- Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes ensuring exceptional quality food
- Ensure health protocols are followed including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures
- Familiarize yourself with residents and their preferences and participate in resident orientations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area adhering to safety standards
- Assist with inventory management and timely restocking of kitchen supplies
- Collaborate with management and staff to provide excellent culinary service
- Participate in employee training and development as required
