Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work weekend day and evening shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Willingness to work in a senior living environment
- Ability to perform cleaning and setup duties as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of dining room setup and service etiquette
- Capacity to provide excellent customer service to senior residents
- Basic understanding of confidentiality and privacy standards
- Ability to manage guest reservations and coordinate dining logistics
Job Duties
- Ensure adequate daily coverage for meal service by communicating with Culinary Services Director, Health Services Director, and Executive Director
- Assist Culinary Services Director with training to improve team performance within Health Services Department
- Attend staff meetings as required
- Direct resident, family and guest feedback to community leadership
- Ensure all server pre-service and post-service work is completed
- Assign sections and tables to Health Services staff for timely service
- Oversee cleaning and preparation of dining room to ensure restaurant-style appearance
- Reset tables, linens and refill condiments
- Ensure drink station and salad bar are set according to policies
- Take meal orders and ensure excellent customer service
- Ensure drinks are filled and maintained according to resident and guest requests
- Serve and oversee service of residents to meet their choices
- Manage guest reservations and private dining room setup
- Complete cleaning checklists per community policies
- Set up and deliver room trays
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Foster a positive customer service environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
