Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum age of 21 depending on program and/or department requirements
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar programs
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening and physical
  • Ability to work Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 35 pounds
  • Vision and hearing within normal range
  • Willingness to complete a mandatory two-week orientation Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license with driving record that meets insurance requirements
  • Minimum age of 21 depending on program and/or department requirements
  • Ability to operate office equipment and perform data entry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to interact professionally with visitors and staff

Job Duties

  • Provides support to Advancement Department by assisting with mailings, gift recording and acknowledgement of gifts
  • Manages scheduled events in conference rooms by assisting employees with reservations, configuring rooms to host's specifications and maintaining appearance of the rooms
  • Oversees utilization of agency vehicles including ensuring documentation completion, reporting maintenance issues, monitoring condition of vehicles, and verifying gas cards are returned
  • Responsible for upkeep and cleanliness of designated areas such as kitchen, restrooms, family visitation room, common areas, and administration office
  • Assists employees with use of office equipment such as copy machine, fax machine, and general office help
