Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least six months experience in payroll, insurance, or clerical position

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least six months experience in payroll, insurance, or clerical position
  • preferably two years of experience in payroll, insurance, or clerical position
  • courses in payroll, bookkeeping, office procedures, or related subjects

Job Duties

  • answers incoming telephone calls and direct to appropriate person or department
  • maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personnel information in accordance with the Privacy Act and personnel policies
  • types documents, reports, and letters at least 50 words per minute with high accuracy
  • remains at repetitious tasks for long periods while completing paperwork
  • recognizes, responds to, or reports resident emergency situations immediately
  • maintains strict confidentiality on all facility data
  • communicates with and supports residents, families, visitors, and others
  • maintains privacy of records, conditions, and other information relating to residents, employees, and facility
  • performs assigned tasks in accordance with policies and procedures and as instructed by the Administrator
  • notifies supervisor of pending absence or tardiness within the prescribed time frame
  • operates copier, office machines, and computer as directed
  • prepares and mails statements following established billing procedures
  • assists in preparing time cards and distributing payroll checks
  • maintains current files and listings of residents, emergency phone numbers, key personnel, and others
  • greets visitors, guests, residents, salespeople and monitors or reports suspicious persons or situations
  • receives, sorts, and distributes mail as directed
  • refers difficult or conflicting interactions to the Administrator or appropriate department head
  • conducts annual salary and wage surveys and reports findings
  • assists in reporting complaints and grievances from residents, families, visitors, and partners
  • assists with completing non-essential forms and reports
  • assists with supply inventory
