Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred
  • effective communication skills

  • ability to use basic computer programs including data entry
  • familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • demonstrated patience and professionalism in interacting with seniors and visitors
  • commitment to maintaining confidentiality and residents rights
  • knowledge of cleaning and infection control standards

Job Duties

  • Clean common areas including the lobby guest restrooms and hallways
  • vacuum all carpeted areas and upholstered furniture
  • dust all furniture hanging pictures and fixtures
  • sanitize handrails
  • clean glass surfaces
  • clean doors doorways and walls
  • clean and disinfect common areas and restrooms
  • mop or vacuum common areas
  • clean and disinfect soiled utility bins
  • clean and organize laundry areas and storage closets
  • ensure that housekeeping cart and supplies are stored safely to prevent injuries
  • properly store and label hazardous cleaning products
  • clean resident rooms by vacuuming dusting and disinfecting bathrooms
  • launder residents linens towels sheets and other items according to schedule
  • keep residents personal clothing separate and return promptly
  • properly dispose of soiled clothing or linens according to infection control standards
  • wipe up any spills to prevent slips and falls
  • establish and maintain good relationships with residents and family members
  • answer incoming calls warmly and professionally
  • relay messages promptly
  • maintain visitor log
  • greet visitors residents family members and associates in a warm manner
  • ensure reception areas are clean and inviting
  • comply with concierge and first impression standards from driveway through lobby
  • create and maintain resident face sheets using Yardi system
  • input resident assessment data as directed
  • enter work orders into Direct Supply TELS system
  • communicate issues related to environment and atmosphere to leadership
  • maintain knowledge of community benefits services residents and associates
  • assist community relations and sales directors with inquiries
  • support business office manager with administrative tasks including credit card summaries petty cash reconciliation deposits checkbook and purchase journal management
  • offer refreshments to visitors
  • respect residents rights to privacy
  • coordinate resident appointments for services and transportation
  • collect and distribute residents mail
  • perform community mail duties including packages
  • prepare brochure packets
  • maintain professionalism especially in lobby area
  • assist with additional administrative duties as assigned
  • follow company computer usage guidelines
  • dress professionally and maintain uniform
  • maintain professional decorum
  • ensure safety awareness and ownership
  • disclose any medication affecting job performance
  • lead by example exhibiting core values through servant leadership
  • encourage teamwork and promote company philosophy
  • attend community meetings and participate in life enrichment activities
  • complete required courses
  • understand and report missing persons using Safe Return program
  • know fire evacuation procedures
