Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- current Food Handlers Card as specified per Department of Health
- demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
- proficient communication skills
- physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
- ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
- comfortable working around extreme temperatures
- ability to work indoors and outdoors
- criminal background clearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- current Food Handlers Card
- demonstrated culinary skills and knowledge
- competency in leadership, training, and supervision
- proficient written and oral communication skills
- ability to engage with residents and team members
- experience in food service or culinary roles preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
- provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
- ensure health protocols are followed including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures
- familiarize with residents and their preferences and needs
- participate in resident orientations
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and food preparation areas
- assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
