- ability to read and interpret documents such as cleaning standards, operating instructions, MSDS, and chemical directions
- ability to communicate effectively with groups of customers or employees
- ability to use proper grammar and pronunciation
- mathematical skills including basic arithmetic operations
- reasoning ability to define problems and draw conclusions
- physical capability to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- willingness to work in various facility areas including landscaped grounds and mechanical rooms
- ability to tolerate occasional exposure to bodily fluids
- specific vision abilities including close vision
Job Qualifications
- ability to read and interpret cleaning standards, operating instructions, and MSDS
- effective communication skills including proper grammar and pronunciation
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties and lift up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- perform cleaning duties throughout the JCA facilities including athletic centers, childcare rooms, landscaped and mechanical areas
- interpret and follow cleaning standards and operating instructions
- handle cleaning chemicals safely according to MSDS guidelines
- communicate effectively with JCA employees and customers
- lift and move up to 50 pounds as required
- maintain cleanliness and safety in all assigned areas
- report any maintenance or safety issues observed during cleaning activities
