- previous housekeeping experience

- ability to read and interpret safety and procedure documents

Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- interest in working with a senior population
- courteous and friendly interaction with guests, residents, and staff
- physical ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
- ability to frequently climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- capability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- specific vision abilities including close vision and color vision
Job Duties
- Performs cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges and offices
- sweeps, dusts, dust mops, and wet mops all floors and stairways
- spot cleans and vacuums floors, rugs, carpets and runners
- rotates runners in hallways and entryways
- cleans, sanitizes, and polishes lavatory, shower and sink fixtures and facilities
- stocks dispensers as necessary
- scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills
- maintains equipment and materials in a clean and orderly condition
- collects trash and refuse from work areas and places them in designated pickup areas
- collects, cleans, and redistributes community laundry
- maintains commercial laundry in clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
- ensures cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
- keeps cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards out of the way and in compliance with fire codes
- reports needed repairs and supply and equipment needs to Lead Housekeeper
- performs other duties as assigned
