We specialize in serving high-quality food prepared with care and passion at the City Park Farmer's Market on Saturdays and the expanded Sunday booth at the South Pearl Street Farmer's Market. Job Requirements
- ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs
- ability to stand, bend, and move for the entire shift
- comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, wind, snow, rain
- ability to work most Saturdays and all Sundays through the season or all Sundays with availability for other shifts
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- positive and cooperative attitude
- adherence to food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- two years of professional kitchen or food prep experience preferred
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- comfortable with physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods
- team-oriented, reliable, and have a positive attitude
- ability to stay calm and flexible in a dynamic environment
- a clean driving record and the ability to drive a van are preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Perform light pre-market preparation of food at our kitchen
- assist in packing, organizing, and transporting food, equipment, and supplies for market days
- set up the market booth including tent, tables, signage, cooking equipment, and display items
- ensure all food is handled, stored, and served in accordance with food safety standards
- support cooking, plating, and customer service as needed during market hours
- help Front of House lead pack pastry orders and serve drinks
- maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace throughout the shift
- break down the booth at the end of service including cleaning, packing, and loading out all equipment and supplies
- assist with post-market tasks such as restocking and cleaning
- communicate clearly with team members and contribute to a positive, respectful work environment
- adapt to changing needs and take on new responsibilities as the operation evolves
