Iris Memory Care of Nichols Hills is a dedicated memory care assisted living community located in Nichols Hills, Oklahoma City, OK. This small, freestanding facility specializes in providing compassionate care for residents suffering from Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Positioned conveniently off Lake Hefner Parkway, south of Britton on May Avenue, Iris Memory Care offers a home-like environment where residents receive personalized attention and support throughout the various stages of memory impairment. Job Requirements

  • Culinary training
  • Experience in commercial kitchen, catering, or restaurant venue
  • Food Handlers training and certificate
  • Good attendance history
  • Weekend availability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and hygiene standards
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years' experience in a similar position preferred
  • Working knowledge of rules and regulations related to health and safety in food preparation
  • Demonstrated ability in food preparation and services
  • Twelve (12) plus years of education preferred
  • Meet continuing education requirements and certifications on job classification and position, including state and local requirements

Job Duties

  • Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
  • Prepares food items and serves food to residents within scheduled time frame
  • Follows menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made
  • Cleans and maintains food service areas, including kitchen and dining room
  • Maintains clean, neat, and safe working environment
  • Maintains coolers and food storage areas to standard
  • With consultant dietician, monitors nutritional status of residents using regular assessments, progress notes, and dietary care planning, if required
  • Ensures correct procedures in preparation of food and inspects quantity, quality, temperature, and appearance of food prior to serving
