Job Requirements

  • Have worked as a professional cook for a minimum of 2 years not including fast food
  • Up to date Hepatitis A vaccinations records
  • Valid driver’s license and willing to travel to work in the St. Louis metro area
  • At least 18 years old

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of professional cook experience excluding fast food
  • Ability to understand and follow basic recipes and kitchen safety protocols
  • Basic knife skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and smallware identification
  • Ability to work in low to medium volume environments
  • Effective communication skills for client interaction
  • Ability to work efficiently within a budgeted time frame

Job Duties

  • General preparation work including deli, salad bar, pantry, banquet service, and some line service
  • Use basic knife skills for cutting, chopping, and assembly work
  • Follow basic recipes and kitchen safety procedures
  • Use personal protective equipment when required
  • Prepare banquet plate up and plate assembly
  • Understand and operate basic kitchen equipment
  • Prepare salads and basic protein salads according to recipes with guidance
