Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work every other weekend (Saturdays 12:00 PM-6:00 PM and Sundays 10:00 AM-6:00 PM)
  • Ability to stand, move, communicate, and identify written information
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds independently
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 200 pounds with assistance
  • Flexibility to work weekends as needed
  • Ability to use computers and related software
  • Pass background and drug tests
  • Compliance with health and safety protocols including TB testing and PPE use

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in customer service role, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or similar setting
  • CPR or BLS certification preferred
  • Proficient in Internet browsers such as Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Publisher
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and HR-related software preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact empathetically with seniors and their families
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed

Job Duties

  • Welcoming residents, visitors, and guests, providing exceptional customer service and assistance to those entering the community
  • Monitoring the community's entry and exit points, signing in guests and residents, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
  • Regularly engaging with residents helping them feel valued and cared for
  • Receiving and distributing mail and packages
  • Managing external and internal calls, taking, and communicating messages, as well as forwarding calls to the appropriate person or department
  • Assisting the Executive Director and Business Office Manager with clerical/administrative duties, as well as assisting the Sales and Marketing team with taking sales inquiries, as needed
  • Assisting residents with scheduling personal transportation services and making reservations for community events in conjunction with the Life Enrichment Director
  • Managing sale of guest meals and initiating credit card transactions for guest meal sales when necessary
  • Submitting all work order requests to Maintenance on behalf of residents
  • Monitoring emergency response system and fire alarm panel
  • Ensuring effective communication is utilized by community staff with residents' families concerning residents' care, encompassing their physical, personal, and emotional wellbeing
  • Working well with others and taking direction from management, as well as taking initiative with conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others as needed
  • Remaining flexible and able to work weekends when necessary
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned by Management staff
