Job Requirements

  • minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in hotel wedding event sales or event planning preferred
  • proficiency in computer operations and software
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • flexible schedule including availability for events during evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • minimum of 2-3 years of hotel wedding event sales or event planning experience preferred
  • proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • extremely detail oriented and adaptable to change
  • able to manage multiple event types, timelines, and priorities
  • passion for hospitality and commitment to creating meaningful and memorable events
  • preferred two years hotel experience or completed event management trainee program
  • preferred training in wedding and event planning, selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills
  • preferred certification as Hyatt Wedding Specialist or similar training

Job Duties

  • serving as liaison between wedding planners, brides, grooms, families and hotel staff
  • administering sales agreements and event contracts
  • detailing all food, beverage, setup and audiovisual needs
  • managing room blocks and pickup
  • overseeing billing instructions and final event reviews
  • facilitating communication before, during, and after events with pertinent hotel staff
  • hosting hotel tours and wedding/event tastings
  • maintaining strong internal and external customer relationships
  • participating in and potentially leading event and staff meetings
  • collaborating closely with administrative assistants and sales, event, and hotel staff to ensure smooth planning and execution of events
