Job Requirements

  • Excellent skill set to include verbal/written communication, problem identification, problem solving, time management and math competency skills
  • Preferred Marriott CI/TY experience but not required
  • Preferred Lightspeed PMS experience but not required
  • Proficient in computer systems and functions (i.e, Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, web access, etc.) Use office equipment and supplies
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Must have flexible work schedule and work as required. Some nights and weekends will be necessary as well as potential holidays
  • Represent the company in a professional manner with good judgment and in an ethical manner
  • Average hours are 45 per week
  • Must be able to organize time effectively
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to an automobile for outside sales calls
  • Excellent hearing
  • Able to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods of time/frequently to interact with clients and staff both inside and outside of hotel
  • Must be goal oriented and self-motivated

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in hospitality or event management preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable automobile access

Job Duties

  • Develop and manage catering and group sales strategies
  • Oversee client relationships and event coordination
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales to ensure successful event execution
  • Promote hotel facilities to prospective clients
  • Supervise event details including logistics and service standards
  • Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
  • Manage event budgets and schedules
