Job Requirements
- Excellent skill set to include verbal/written communication, problem identification, problem solving, time management and math competency skills
- Preferred Marriott CI/TY experience but not required
- Preferred Lightspeed PMS experience but not required
- Proficient in computer systems and functions (i.e, Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, web access, etc.) Use office equipment and supplies
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
- Must have flexible work schedule and work as required. Some nights and weekends will be necessary as well as potential holidays
- Represent the company in a professional manner with good judgment and in an ethical manner
- Average hours are 45 per week
- Must be able to organize time effectively
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to an automobile for outside sales calls
- Excellent hearing
- Able to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods of time/frequently to interact with clients and staff both inside and outside of hotel
- Must be goal oriented and self-motivated
Job Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience in hospitality or event management preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license and reliable automobile access
Job Duties
- Develop and manage catering and group sales strategies
- Oversee client relationships and event coordination
- Collaborate with Director of Sales to ensure successful event execution
- Promote hotel facilities to prospective clients
- Supervise event details including logistics and service standards
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
- Manage event budgets and schedules
