Job Requirements
- HS diploma or GED
- valid driver's license and good driving record
- one year work experience in infrastructure, maintenance or repair preferred
- ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- willingness to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays for emergency response
- ability to operate manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric tools and equipment
- willingness to wear personal protective equipment
- effective communication skills
- compliant with federal, state, and local regulations
- basic math skills
- CDL, DOT certifications, electrical and welding certifications highly desirable
Job Qualifications

- one year work experience in infrastructure, maintenance, and repair preferred

- basic knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in concrete, asphalt repair, construction, and maintenance
- skill in use and care of small hand power tools

Job Duties
- Create safe maintenance of traffic control by setup and removal of traffic control devices including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage
- work comfortably at heights using bucket trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platform lifts
- perform basic maintenance and repair of bridge structures and equipment rooms including portals, railings, expansion joints, doors, and painting
- repair and maintain functionality of roadway catch basins, sumps, pumps, fire hydrants, and other mechanical assets using hand or power tools
- repair and maintain equipment room ventilation systems
- maintain basic electrical systems including emergency telephones, CCTV systems, electronic traffic signs, call boxes, lane signals, and lighting
- transport crew and equipment to work sites operating large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers
- respond to emergency rotations including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- contribute positively to a diverse, inclusive, and fair work environment free from discrimination and harassment
- carry out all duties in line with company policies and procedures
- maintain and repair highway surfaces including potholes, striping, reflectors, concrete and asphalt work
- clean highways and medians through litter and debris removal
- repair and maintain slopes, berms, culverts, and drains
- control vegetation growth using lawn mowing equipment, trimmers, and chemical sprayers
- maintain signs, guardrails, fences, and lighting through repair or replacement
- keep roadways free of debris including ice and snow using removal and sanding equipment
- perform all other duties as assigned
- comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements to avoid legal challenges
