Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of intermediate cooking skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino food and beverage operation
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in an environment with moderate exposure to hot and cold temperatures and loud noises
  • Ability to work in an environment where smoking is permitted

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Culinary education or experience preferred
  • Two years of intermediate cooking skills required
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to read, write, and speak effectively
  • Ability to interact well with customers and employees
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully

Job Duties

  • Rotate between cooking stations and restaurants in hot temperature areas, each responsible for specific food items and cooking devices including refilling and replacing pans with specified garnish in steam table
  • Have command of all kitchen stations including roast, fry, pasta, vegetable, grill, pantry, breakfast, sauté, and high volume cooking
  • Maintain proper food temperatures according to regulatory and ServSafe standards
  • Properly label, date, and rotate all products to ensure food safety and sanitation
  • Have knowledge of recipes, equipment operation, and cooking techniques
  • Review production schedule to determine food variety and quantity
  • Assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily cooking
  • Follow production sheets and records as required
  • Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, and grills
  • Use various pots, pans, and equipment for food preparation
  • Work harmoniously with others in a strenuous environment
  • Report to work well-groomed in full uniform and badge
  • Provide prompt, friendly, courteous service of food and beverage to guests
  • Be hospitable, friendly, and polite with guests, coworkers, and management
  • Maintain understanding of information security policies including Acceptable Use Policy
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate professionally
  • Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to policies
  • Complete required training within nine months
  • Attend all necessary meetings
  • Duties and responsibilities are subject to change as needed
  • Work hours determined by a 24-hour schedule
