Job Duties
- Interacting with guests and staff members professionally and positively
- assist the bar staff in filling ice wells, as well as stocking wells with the necessary amount of liquor bottles
- ensuring beer bottles, wine, and cordials are stocked
- refilling and dating mixers, juices, and syrups
- cut fruit and other garnishes, and make sure the bar is set up for success
- empty bus tubs and prebus the bar top
- make batch cocktails according to proper recipes, as well as understand the batch system to ensure proper changing of canisters
- arriving for the shift on time and ready to work in proper uniform
- use juicing machines in a safe, sanitary manner, while ensuring pars for the bar are met
- following directions from management, as well as the bartenders
- all barbacks should have extensive knowledge of the menu and should be able to answer any guest's questions about food or drinks
- obtain and update any required certifications
- set up and break down the bar area before and after each shift, while cleaning floors, bar top, and wells
- emptying trash cans and washing dishes using the bar machine
