Job Requirements
- Minimum three years of relevant professional experience
- knowledge of basic business and food retail operations
- experience in communications and outreach
- ability to handle multiple tasks
- organized and detail-oriented
- proficiency with Microsoft 360 and social media
- cash handling skills
- availability to work Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum three years of relevant professional experience such as retail, customer service, nonprofit programming, event planning, or community organizing
- working knowledge of basic business and food retail operations
- experience with communications and community outreach strategies
- ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- strong organizational and independent work skills
- proficiency with Microsoft 360, Zoom, and social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- comfortable handling cash
- availability to work Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Job Duties
- Recruit and retain farmer and vendor participants
- manage social media marketing and communication with stakeholders
- enforce Food Access LA and regulatory compliance including health and safety standards
- oversee vendor stall placement and coordinate market day tasks including set-up and takedown
- maintain market grounds and inventory supplies
- facilitate vendor check-out and process payments
- plan and support special market events and community programs
