Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED
  • Experience living on remote job site
  • Equipment operating experience
  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery
  • Able to stand for up to 12 hours daily
  • Must be able to lift the safety regulation maximum and perform repetitive motion duties
  • Must pass physical qualification assessment
  • Able to deploy to Antarctica for length of contract
  • Possible travel to spill school within the US
  • US citizenship or permanent residency
  • Valid driver's license and passport valid for six months after end of contract

Job Qualifications

  • Experience living on a remote job site
  • Equipment operating experience including front-end loaders and forklifts
  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery
  • Ability to work in a team composed of diverse personalities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to maintain flexibility and a positive attitude
  • US citizenship or permanent residency
  • Valid driver's license and passport valid for six months after end of contract

Job Duties

  • Collecting, processing, and loading solid waste and recyclables for shipment
  • Operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, articulating forklifts, industrial balers, and wood grinders
  • Performing truck weigh station duties during vessel operations
  • Utilizing cargo straps, banding, pallet jacks, and power tools
  • Supporting the station Spill Team including on-call and night shift duties
  • Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and safety regulations
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements
