- prior experience in warehouse or materials handling preferred
- knowledge of safety procedures

Job Duties
- uses forklift, hoist, or by hand, to move inventory products for storage or delivery
- must be able to lift 75 pounds
- reads pick orders accurately, assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves accurately, or conveys orders to pickup area or delivery truck
- loads products on customer truck or, on company truck for delivery to customer, in accordance with established operating and safety procedures
- installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- unloads inventory products from vendor delivery trucks in accordance with established operating and safety procedures
- sorts and places received products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- labels, tags, or marks products as instructed and in accordance with procedures
- records amounts of products received or distributed in accordance with established procedures
- double checks that correct quantities and products are received, distributed, and recorded
- reports discrepancies to supervisor immediately
- completes and submits all other required or requested reports in an accurate and timely manner
- complies with all applicable safety procedures
- operates equipment and performs all duties in a safe manner
- completes and submits incident reports in accordance with company’s policies and procedures
- inventories (counts) products in warehouse and yard as instructed by supervisor
- maintains certification for forklift operation
- does not operate forklift without proper certification
- inspects and maintains forklift and other equipment in accordance with established procedures
- maintains work area in an orderly manner
- keeps work area clean and free of clutter
- makes sure to provide good customer service
