Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- valid class A, B, or C driver’s license
- ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks
- ability to operate forklift or willingness to complete required training and certification
- must pass criminal background check
- clean driving record with no DUI/DWI and minimal minor infractions
- may need to pass drug screening as condition of hire
- basic computer skills in common applications
- strong communication skills
- physical ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to operate motor vehicles and equipment
- ability to work inside and outside, alone, and irregular hours
- willingness to travel for training or development
- ability to use typical office and vehicle equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- class A, B, or C driver’s license (individual or commercial)
- ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks
- ability to operate forklift or willingness to complete required training and certification
- strong communication skills for vendor and community interaction
- ability to use basic computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- willingness to obtain required food handler, civil rights, and other related certifications if not already certified
Job Duties
- Perform pre-trip truck inspections and complete vehicle inspection reports
- create and manage delivery invoices and ensure necessary signatures
- fill out delivery logs tracking time, mileage, and product details
- deliver food products to partner agencies and community programs following designated routes
- assist in loading trucks before deliveries
- pick up food products from retail partner establishments and maintain relationships with store staff
- unload and properly store retail and donor products with accurate tagging
- assist in routine warehouse maintenance including equipment inspections and cleaning
- pull food orders following pick lists and properly wrap and store pallets
- participate in inventory cycle counts and shuttle vehicles for maintenance
- uphold customer service and safety standards during all warehouse and delivery operations
