Job Requirements

  • One year of warehousing experience performing receiving, storing, issuing and shipping duties
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to operate forklift and manual material movement equipment
  • Hazardous Material HazMat training completion within 90 days of hire
  • Valid drivers license may be required for operating trucks up to one ton capacity
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor environments with varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, stoop and bend for extended periods in tiring and uncomfortable positions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of warehousing experience including receiving, storing and shipping duties
  • Ability to provide work direction and supervise lower grade workers
  • Skilled in operating a forklift
  • Knowledge of inventory management and material handling procedures
  • Ability to conduct periodic inventory and resolve discrepancies
  • Hazardous material handling knowledge or completion of HazMat training
  • Basic physical fitness required for lifting and manual labor

Job Duties

  • Receives and checks incoming freight merchandise supplies and or equipment from vendors or distribution center
  • Unloads vehicles by moving items using handcart conveyor or similar conveyance
  • Receives invoice from vendor and verifies received goods against report of goods received
  • Opens, inspects, counts, marks, and prices merchandise, reporting any shortages or damages to supervisor
  • Stocks warehouse palletized or bulk stock according to specified locations and monitors bin accuracy
  • Provides work direction to lower grade store workers in retail sales locations
  • Receives merchandise transfers, selects items from storage and prepares them for shipping
  • Receives chargebacks for merchandise returns and manages stock removal and vendor delivery
  • Checks receipt documents against merchandise for accuracy especially for designated security items
  • Conducts periodic inventory, determines discrepancies and informs supervisor
  • Orders display equipment and related supplies
  • Operates forklift and other material handling equipment
  • Ensures compliance with hazardous material handling regulations and completes necessary training
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
