Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalency certificate or significant relevant or appropriate working experience
  • Approximately 5 years of service as a warehouse worker or warehouse checker
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge in all aspects of the warehouse
  • To be promoted into this position, an employee must score a 3 or higher on their performance evaluation during the last two years of service

Job Duties

  • Use radio frequency or picking, receiving, and storing function as required
  • Check contents of orders picked and assembled by the order pickers
  • Compare the quantity, quality, labeling and address with the customer’s order to ensure that outgoing shipments are complete and correct
  • Operate product handling equipment including a forklift efficiently and safely while loading and unloading freight
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
  • Perform labeling, sorting, and repacking as needed
  • Perform inventory procedures accurately and with the utmost integrity
  • General business support function as assigned
  • Assure correct piece count, quality of product and correct shipping information
  • Able to operate all warehouse equipment
  • Is cross trained and can work in multiple warehousing functions or shifts
