Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- ability to work in environments with concrete floors and temperatures ranging from -12 degrees F to 34 degrees with high humidity
- ability to work various shifts in 24/7 operation including nights weekends and holidays
- demonstrate initiative and self-direction
- obtain necessary licensing certification to operate powered industrial forklifts powered pallet jacks shrink-wrap machines and radio frequency computer terminals
- learn and memorize warehouse layout and procedures
- perform basic math functions quickly and accurately without calculator
- visualize and calculate quantities in three dimensional stacked arrangements
- calculate proper distribution of weights and volumes within a trailer
- communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- exhibit manual dexterity hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- perform repetitious work with mental alertness
- stand walk and move rapidly throughout shift
- bend stoop twist and turn frequently
- lift and maneuver objects up to 50 lbs frequently and 80-100 lbs occasionally
- establish and maintain good rapport with coworkers supervisors and others
- prioritize and perform multiple tasks
- perform primary duties safely with efficiency accuracy honesty and integrity
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience with warehouse operations preferred
- ability to operate forklifts and powered industrial equipment
- strong communication skills
- basic math skills including addition subtraction multiplication and division
- ability to follow safety procedures and policies
- manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- ability to work in varying temperature environments
- ability to handle physical demands of the job
- ability to work various shifts including nights weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Pick orders by selecting items from warehouse according to pick list
- place items on pallet ensuring product integrity stability and safety
- stage completed pallets at assigned dock doors for shipment
- operate forklifts picking-up and putting away pallets of product
- let down pallets from reserve slots and replenish order picking inventory
- pull full pallet orders for stores and stage them for shipment
- receive product ensuring accurate check count and quality
- verify product description UPC quality quantity labeling with shipping documents
- document discrepancies properly
- account for all product assigned to each load
- compare quantity quality and labeling to load documents
- arrange product in proper sequence
- consolidate and load product maintaining legal weight distribution
- meet company standards on productivity safety and sanitation
- ensure all safety procedures and policies are followed
- maintain clean orderly work area
- perform other duties as assigned or needed
