Job Requirements

  • 2 years of electronic technical training preferred
  • must be able to obtain a DOT certification
  • 2 years of slot technician, video gaming terminal, ATM, or amusement equipment experience including installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems and equipment preferred
  • must demonstrate an ability to understand basic electronic theory and mechanics
  • proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and instruments
  • able to obtain forklift certification and use non-powered dollies, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • able to manage priorities and workflow
  • ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • versatility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • at least 21 years of age
  • ability to obtain and/or maintain a Terminal Handler's License from the Illinois Gaming Board

Job Duties

  • Move video gaming terminals, ticket redemption machines, automatic teller machines, amusement devices, and associated equipment between transport trucks, warehouse storage, and equipment preparation areas
  • disassemble obsolete or damaged equipment, then test and clean removed parts
  • inspect, test, troubleshoot, clean, and perform repairs on electronic gaming devices, ticket redemption machines, automatic teller machines, amusement equipment, machine parts, and associated equipment
  • install and remove locks on video gaming terminals, ticket redemption machines, automatic teller machines, and amusement devices
  • identify and communicate inventory needs for equipment to ensure minimal downtime and quick turnaround of product
  • observe all safety regulations and report unsafe conditions to management
  • follow all department, company, and state policies and procedures
