Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of one year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
- ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts
- strong attention to detail and accuracy
- good communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- physical ability to load and unload trucks
- ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
- willingness to follow safety protocols and guidelines
- ability to use computer systems for warehouse operations
- proficiency in English
- basic math skills
Job Qualifications
- One year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
- knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
- outstanding customer service and communication skills
- high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- knowledge and practice of safety precautions in warehouse and material handling environment
- ability to learn to operate forklift and other equipment
- ability to learn and operate computer-related warehouse systems
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Job Duties
- Count, verify, and receive incoming vendor shipments and customer return material
- stock and maintain the warehouse
- pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with company policy and procedure
- act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
- handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee
- identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations
- complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier
- load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely
- inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise
- ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets
- maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety
- assist co-workers in servicing customers
- perform all job functions in accordance with the company's safety standards
- successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs
- perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and management
