Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts
  • strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to load and unload trucks
  • ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • willingness to follow safety protocols and guidelines
  • ability to use computer systems for warehouse operations
  • proficiency in English
  • basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • One year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
  • outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
  • knowledge and practice of safety precautions in warehouse and material handling environment
  • ability to learn to operate forklift and other equipment
  • ability to learn and operate computer-related warehouse systems
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Job Duties

  • Count, verify, and receive incoming vendor shipments and customer return material
  • stock and maintain the warehouse
  • pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with company policy and procedure
  • act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee
  • identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations
  • complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier
  • load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely
  • inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise
  • ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets
  • maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety
  • assist co-workers in servicing customers
  • perform all job functions in accordance with the company's safety standards
  • successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs
  • perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and management
