Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse operations and freight processing experience
  • knowledge of ERP systems
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • experience leading a team preferred
  • ability to lift packages weighing 25-35 lbs with occasional weights up to 70 lbs
  • capability to work in varying temperature conditions
  • flexibility for occasional shift changes during peak seasons
  • ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain focus
  • standing for extended periods
  • strong organizational and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse operations and freight processing experience
  • knowledge of ERP systems
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
  • experience leading a team preferred
  • ability to train new hires and support cross training
  • effective communication skills with internal teams and external carriers
  • capability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical labor
  • flexibility to adjust shifts during peak seasons

Job Duties

  • Lead operations by ensuring freight being processed correctly, operation staffed appropriately and audit pieces for accuracy
  • process freight on the floor as needed including loading and unloading trailers
  • create routing sheet within Beacon ERP system
  • set up the first truck for departure including paperwork preparation
  • create labels for specific customers
  • prepare report itemizing piece count, weight of line hauls, number of skids and ensure induction and branch operations reports are complete
  • check TSD exception report for local truck exceptions
  • manage customs CCI and PARS scanning and email
  • perform Beacon data entry
  • train new hires and lead cross training between warehouse and office processing
  • communicate with internal departments and drivers to ensure accurate freight processing and scheduling
  • carry out other duties as assigned by management
