Job Requirements
- Hs diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather and environmental conditions
- Ability to distinguish colors red, green, and yellow
- Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings
- Physical ability to perform duties safely and efficiently
- Must join the Transport Workers Union and pay union dues
Job Qualifications

- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in high noise environments
- Ability to follow verbal commands and safety protocols
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to distinguish colors red, green, and yellow
- Experience operating vehicles in congested and safety-sensitive environments preferred
Job Duties
- Load and unload aircraft cargo up to 70 lbs in confined areas
- Push, pull, and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs on rollers to or from aircraft
- Drive vehicles weighing 3,000 to 80,000 lbs in congested airport areas
- Assist or perform aircraft push-out by guiding drivers and communicating with cockpit
- Transport cargo via 3,000 lb vehicle through congested areas reading off-load sheets
- Communicate effectively using hand signals and voice commands during ground operations
- Perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities
- Monitor and report security breaches and suspicious activities
- Pull water hoses and connect to aircraft
- Lift and handle overhead electric cables of up to 40 lbs
- Confront unauthorized personnel in secured areas and report as necessary
