Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to stand, bend, pull, lift, and pivot for up to 90% of shift
- Capability to lift products weighing from 1 to 60 pounds or more
- Willingness to work 2nd shift from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Tuesday through Friday
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely
- Availability to work in Windsor Locks, CT
- Ability to handle sharp objects safely in the workplace
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma
- Proven initiative and productivity in previous roles
- Commitment to quality and safety standards
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Basic knowledge of janitorial tools and cleaning techniques
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and operating procedures
Job Duties
- Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian or janitor
- Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse including office space, employee break areas, windows, and restrooms
- Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
- Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
- Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
- Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
- Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
- Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
- Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
