Job Requirements

  • One year of forklift experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Forklift certification
  • Ability to pass a 9 panel drug screen
  • Successful background check
  • Employment verification

Job Duties

  • Receives incoming merchandise in efficient, timely and safe manner
  • Operates forklift and other material handling equipment
  • Stages all incoming merchandise in designated areas to ensure easy access by stockers
  • Maintains warehouse in clean, organized and orderly condition
  • Performs daily inspection of material handling equipment and maintains equipment in good working order
  • Locates and moves materials and product between work areas of the Commissary to expedite stocking of goods, according to predetermined schedules and priorities, and keeps related records
  • Uses independent judgment within the framework of the government's contract requirements
  • Interacts cooperatively with Government Commissary personnel and customers
  • Immediately advises supervisor when Government staff directs changes in contract requirements
