Job Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- Must be able to pass a 90 lbs overhead lift test
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 90 lbs
- Must be able to walk or stand for long periods
- Must be able to work in freezer and cooler environments
- Must be available to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass pre-employment drug and physical tests
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse or order selector experience is an asset
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts safely
- Basic computer skills for using order assembly systems
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use voice-activated technology
- Strong communication skills in English
- Physical capability to lift heavy objects and work in varying temperature environments
Job Duties
- Use the Lucas system to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets
- Operate industrial double pallet jack or power forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products
- Lift heavy objects by hand or with power jack
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
- Use computer to enter records
- Work in a freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environment
- Read, speak, and write English to operate Lucas system and follow safety rules
- Manual case selection using Lucas headset system and double electric pallet jack
- Take orders to loading dock for shipment
- Work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays with Sundays mandatory
