Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years warehouse or operations experience
  • supervisory experience in warehouse or operations preferred
  • knowledge of inventory management systems
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to lift products up to 80 pounds
  • willingness to work in variable environmental conditions
  • commitment to teamwork and leadership

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business plus 2 years warehouse or operations experience or 6 years warehouse or operations experience
  • proven leadership skills in supervisory warehouse or operational role
  • knowledgeable in material handling and inventory documentation
  • knowledge of budgeting, supply contracts and shipping requirements
  • excellent math, accounting and financial interpretation skills
  • effective communicator at all organizational levels
  • demonstrated leadership ability
  • strong customer and supplier relationship skills
  • ability to project positive image to customers
  • demonstrated product, technical and customer service knowledge
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • strong problem solving skills
  • willing to travel nationally as required
  • valid driver’s license with good driving record

Job Duties

  • Assumes responsibility for the measurement and effectiveness of all warehouse processes including inventory management, transportation, customer service and personnel
  • provides timely, accurate and complete reports on warehouse operations
  • communicates issues and decisions to regional manager and other departments
  • assumes responsibility for maintenance of warehouse facilities and equipment
  • develops and maintains productive relations with vendors, suppliers and shippers
  • leads assigned personnel through objective setting, delegation and communication
  • assigns and coordinates personnel scheduling to ensure efficient workload completion
  • manages personnel development including reviews and training
  • collaborates with Human Resources for hiring and managing staff
  • manages safety programs and ensures regulatory compliance
  • conducts safety meetings and investigates accidents
  • leads loss prevention efforts ensuring security of facilities and equipment
  • partners with Sales to meet customer needs
  • assists with strategic priorities and process improvement
  • manages business acquisitions, warehouse moves and special projects
  • plans and manages warehouse expenses to meet financial goals
  • motivates and organizes workforce to meet productivity targets
  • oversees maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
  • prepares capital and operational budget
  • determines efficient warehouse layout
  • promotes positive company image
