Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- must be able to read write and communicate in English
- must have basic math skills including add subtract multiply and divide
- must be at least 18 years of age
- must successfully pass a controlled substance screening test
- must adhere to all safety practices and company policies
- ability to frequently lift push or move product weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
- ability to frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets
- ability to constantly bend and twist while operating industrial equipment
- must be able to work 7:00pm until end of shift with overtime Sundays and holidays
- ability to rapidly work at a constant pace in a fast paced environment
- willingness to work in varying climates including below zero temperatures in freezers and temperatures above 95F
- able to use or learn to use equipment and tools used to perform the job
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements
- must have basic math skills including add subtract multiply and divide
- warehouse experience preferred
- experience operating electric pallet jack or forklift preferred
Job Duties
- Hand select orders using a voice activated system within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures including dry cooler and freezer
- stack product on pallets following proper selecting procedures such as avoiding stacking heavy products on light products and ensuring labels face out following food safety principles
- operate an electric pallet jack or other powered industrial equipment to transport products
- stage pallets for loading on proper dock locations
- maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment including powered industrial equipment voice headsets and personal protective equipment
- perform pre-trip inspections and safely operate all powered industrial equipment
- shrink-wrap product on the loading dock
- adhere to all safety practices and company policies and food safety principles immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions
- attend all required company meetings
- perform other related duties as assigned
