Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- less than one year related experience
- ability to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
- ability to climb ladders

- ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents

Job Duties
- Manage material organization by moving materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
- coordinate receipt, storage and distribution of materials, tools equipment, and products within assigned area
- potential opportunity to be trained in the use of heavy equipment such as forklift in preparation for certification as required to move to a freight handler
- monitor area cleanliness by ensuring floors are swept, dock area is clean and maintaining general good hygiene of entire work area
- assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, move orders to packing station or shipping department
- open bales, crates and other containers
- assist in receiving cargo by removing from truck by hand or using manual equipment such as a hand truck or pallet jack or similar manual hand tools
- sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
