Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED
  • One month related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to frequently lift, push and pull objects up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in an environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, electrical shock risk, and loud noise
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs or ladders

Job Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out written and oral instructions

Job Duties

  • Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders
  • Uses crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed
  • Follows AMI packing and preservation policies and procedures
  • Performs quality inspections on orders to maintain 100% quality standards
  • Marks all shipments in accordance with customer and AMI procedures and requirements
  • Properly stencils shipping information as required
  • Provides maintenance and keeps records of all equipment assigned
  • Maintains clean work area
  • Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures
  • Participates in TQM and SPC meetings
  • May require lifting up to 50 pounds at a time
