Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required or three months experience as certified forklift/heavy lift driver
- Previous powered industrial truck experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Attention to detail and good communication skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to maintain regular attendance
- Availability for scheduled hours and mandatory overtime
- Ability to wear proper PPE
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Respectful and team-oriented attitude
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in meat industry preferred but not required
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required or minimum of three full months documented experience as a certified forklift/heavy lift driver accepted in lieu of diploma
- Previous powered industrial truck (PIT) experience
- Must obtain proper powered industrial truck certification during initial training
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Attention to detail and good communication skills both verbal and written
- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office
- Competent and trustworthy to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Availability to work scheduled hours including possible mandatory overtime
- Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships
Job Duties
- Receipt of materials into warehouse including unloading trucks and product check-in
- Organization and put away of new receipts
- Accurate documentation of material movement on bills of lading and other documents including identification, count, signature and date
- Assist with receipt entry and processing
- Assure accurate inventory counts of materials
- Timely notification of package receipts to relevant departments or delivery locations
- Preparation and loading/unloading of transfer lists onto trailers for future production ensuring correct product and documentation
- Enter product transfers and adjustments
- Housekeeping during and at end of shift
- Assisting with inventory receipts and accuracy
- Inventory placement and storage
- Inventory verification
- Working in non-climate-controlled warehouse conditions
- Maintaining good housekeeping of warehouse and inventory locations
- Walking and standing on concrete floors for long periods
- Perform additional essential functions as assigned
